KUWAIT: Almost 680 individuals of different nationalities have converted to Islam so far during the month of Ramadan, said the Islamic Presentation Committee (IPC) yesterday.
IPC Director General Jamal Al-Shatti said that the committee's work was conducted via numerous outlets under the supervision of the Awqaf Public Foundation. Formed in 1978, the IPC's mission is to inform and educate Muslims and non-Muslims about Islam, said Al-Shatti, adding that the committee supported other organizations within such domain.
Al-Shatti called on Muslims to support the IPC's mission, noting that any kind of support would help the new converts to strengthen their faith. He revealed that the IPC has launched a KD 1.31 million fund to strengthen its activities and to help those interested to learn about Islam and its teachings. - KUNA
